DingDong or HoHo? HoDong? No. DingHo? Better.

. . . I just lost what I was gonna say.

I showed up almost late today so I didn't get Twilight Time Between.

Health: We started on the next chapter which is about life skills like "Communicating effectively" and "Making GREAT Desicions." XC

Geometery: More postulates, segment addition and ruler, along with hypotenuses. That's a fun word. Hypotenuse.

English: Evan got to do a lovely little commercial for his fork rings. He dropped it and it rolled across the floor. Mr.Lawsomething picked it up and examined it and guessed it was a hair comb that someone had curled up. Mr.Lawsomething asked Evan about it and Evan got to tell the whole class all about them, but not flat out how much they were. That's good marketing right there. "Seven easy payments of $79.99!" XD

Lunch: . . . i don't remember . . . anything . . . good thing I have this blog to remind me of my life before now. Have you ever read the short story Me/Days? It's good, but I can't remember who wrote it. It's about a computer who keeps a log deep in his databanks (this is from the 80's) so it can remember what happened to it yesterday. It didn't even realize there was more than one day before it started keeping the log. It's a good story.

Advisory: Read some H.P. Lovecraft. Am reading At the Mountains of Madness currently. There's a few more stories in the book allong with Moutains of Madness, but Mountains is the longest of them at 110 pages.

Phys Sci: Scientific Notation. Easy class so far.

Art: Am behind on my Illuminated project too. I'll have to go in for advisory tomorrow, too. Why am I always behind? Me and Evan are always behind. X(

Am His: Read some stuff on African American from the post Emancipation era in our area and answered some Q's on the reading.

Biology: Did that lab today. It was on the dissoultion rate of sugar in water. Evan and I used heat as our IV (idependant variable). We didnt' have time to finish our experiment (I can never spell that right) because the stupid hot plate wouldn't get up to 100 degrees Celcius. We had nifty thermometers. They were digital . . . oooh, aaah, wow.

Went home and finished my lab report and am now sitting here doing this. Aren't you glad I take time out for you every day? XD I know, I know. I am wonderful and magnificent, aren't I? And you're my special ( l:] ) friend.

I don't wanna be buried inna pet cemetery.

I don't want to live ma life aga-ain. No-oo. No-Oooo.

I had to get to school early today because I didn't have my still life finished and I needed to work on it. I got the monkey (object #2) and the log (object #3) done then and began work on the decrepit sunflower (flower #1) and the little frilly white flowers (object #2).

Health: We had a test over "the Components of Health." Yay.

I'm feeling deeply disturbed today.

Geometry: We did more postulates. Yay.

Awaken. That's an interesting word. Awaken Awaken Awaken Awaken awaken awaken awaken

English: Mr. Lawsomething did book commercials for Agatha Cristie's And Then There Were None and Jane Yolen's Briar Rose. He also said I should read Orson Scott Card's Enchantment cause it has Babba Yagga in it. Yay Babba Yagga!

Lunch: I read some of The Tick omnibus that Evan had found at the library and lent to me. The Tick is really keen!!

Advisory: I went to Mr.S's room to work on my still life again. Got the sunflower partway done. Yay for creepy monkeys!

Physical Science: We . . . did more . . . CONVERSION BOXES. That's what they were called conversion boxes. Yes. That's what we did. X(

Art: Got my still life done. Finished the sunflower and the little white frilly flowers and did the shading. Started work on my "illuminated text" Illuminated is a weird word too. Illllll-umin-ate-ed.

American History: We had an entire class on Jim Crow Laws. I really hate Jim Crow Laws. They were so stupid! How did they survive into the 60's? I mean, really? White people and Black people had to be buried in partitioned cemeteries! Was there a rock wall that went six foot down through the middle of the cemetery? XC Had to write a two paragraph paper on how we felt abou the Jim (I almost called them Gym) Crow Laws.

Biology: Worked on that lab report again so we could do our lab . . . today. You know it's hard to keep in the present tense when this really happened yesterday and you just forgot to finish it.

Went home to the smell of beans in the crockpot. Oh, we had comfort food. There was cornbread done in a pie pan like it should be, beans stewed with a ham bone, and fried potatoes. That was good. CX

I don't want the world. I only want your half.

Today was . . . I have no words for it. I can't even remember what I was going to say.
My brain feels like it's filled with liquid fluff. X?
Did you understand that? Because I sure don't.

Health: More board races. My team didn't win this time. XP

Geometery: We're doing something with something. I don't remember. Postulates, perhaps?

English: It's Relflexive and Intensive pronouns, yay.

Lunch: Flipped though Greg's Electronic Gaming Monthly and chatted with Evan about V for Vendetta. I'd given it to him this morning.

Advisory: I read Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. It was a really good book. I finished it just a few minutes ago. Really great stuff.

Phys Sci: Mrs.Scary sang at us. It was a little worrying. She sang about how one kilometer equals a thousand meters. I was deeply scared by that class. Xl

"You're older than you've ever been and now you're even older, and now you're even older, and now you're even older, and now you're older still."

Art: I'm falling so far behind on this project. You can see where the quality of my work begins to degrade because I don't have the time to finish it properly. The monkey is just an outright disgrace to my abilities. It really sucks.

"So if you've a date in Constantinople, she'll be waiting in Istambul."

American His: We took notes.

Bio: Got started on our lab reports for the lab we're doing Wednesday. I'm partnered with Evan. We're supposed to do something about how fast sugar disolves. We chose heat for our independant variable because I know the temperature of a substance affects the soluablity of it. Soluability. That's the word I'm looking for right?
No. I don't think it is, but it'll have to do.

167 days remain. (You know, I'm not sure if this includes weekends? Well, we'll find out at the end of shool won't we.)

---No one in the world ever gets what they want and that is beautiful. Everybody dies frustrated and sad and that is beautiful.

Hi, my name is . . .

Saturday I sat at home and did nothing all day long. Well, okay, I did start and finish V for Vendetta, but that counts as nothing right? You got a lot more of the storyline in the comic than you did the movie. Evey was a bit of a ditz in the comic though. I didn't like her carachter at all. XP

Sunday went flea marketing with my grandma. Got a vintage Stetson hat. It's like gray and orange tweed with the little feather in it. CX And I got a Return of the Jedi movie poster. It's only the special edition from 1997, but it's still cool. 'S gotta Ewok onnit. I found this briefcase for Brady's utterly belated birthday. It was a traveling salesman's case. It just seemed like a Brady thing to buy. XD I got Evan some forks after the inncident of the chucking of the forks. They're in a bag that says "Save the Forks" on it.

That was my weekend. Wunnerful huh?

---Don't don't don't let's start. I've got a weak heart.

w00t!

Yay.

Health: We did board races! My team, the "I don't know"s, were behind through the whole game and at the very end we were down like 8 points or something. You could bet as many of your points as you wanted and we bet all of ours. Needless to say I got the question and we won by about two points. We get 3 bonus points on the test Monday. XD

Geometry: It started seriously pouring rain. This is good because we've been in a drought for most of the summer. Lightning actually struck the front school parking lot. It was sweet.
This whole thing about Pluto, you know? About it not being a planet? That sucks! I'm making a shirt protesting this. I want it to say "Just because Uranus is bigger than Pluto . . ." on the front and ". . . Doesn't mean it's not a planet." on the back. Those astronermers need to quit playing with people's (yes, I spell checked this) mnemonics. X(

English: We did this worksheety thingy and had to write a paragraph composed of five sentences and each sentence must contain 2 personal pronouns and then underline the pronoun and circle the antecedent. This is more difficult than you'd think.

Lunch: Evan told me someone threw out all his forks! I won't go into detail, but it envolves religion and telephones. He can't make the rings if he doesn't have any forks! Brady said we should get a box and collect fork donations. I said it should have a fork shaped slot in and we should say "Save the Forks," shaking the box, like those people and "Save the whales." Yes. XD

Advisory: I read.

Phys Sci: We reviewed the metric system. Yay.

Art: I took my project home and finished it yesterday so today I started work on my still life. It sucks because there's so many people in that class we can't all get around the model. It's really not nice. You have to have five objects in the portrait, two of which have to be flowers. I picked a Starwars ATST to be the foreground object and that was a bad idea. There's so much detail to it I'm going to have to go to Art advisory whenever I can to get it done.

American Histoy: We had a quiz and a few questions on the Lincoln assasination.

Biology: More board races. I didn't win this time. We were behind the whole way and the last one was worth triple. I could've had it but I got comfused and didn't even make it up there. XP Ah, well. I'll live.

Went to the library after shool. Was gonna go with Evan, but he couldn't come.
I got:
H.P. Lovecraft
Neil Giaman's Neverwhere
Ursula K. Le Guin's The Left Hand of Darkness
The Inferno of Dante Alighieri
Beowulf
And surprise, surprise, V for Vendetta came in on my hold way before I thought it would.

Smallpox.

There was a guy who lived in the South during the Civil War when those couple of generals who were wransacking the place. His plantation, a pretty big one, too, was left totally intact by the Union troops. You know why? Because the owner, Douglas or something, went out and posted these signs all around his property. They said smallpox hospital. XD He's sneaky.

Health: We did the chapter review.

Geometery: We did this dumb worksheet with this difficult thing to do with perimeter and area on one side and then on the other side you had to plot these points to make a picture. It looked vaugely like a computer, but you can't be sure.

English: We checked our homework from yesterday and got a worksheet to do.

Lunch: I finished that worksheet I was talking about.

Advisory: I went to the Art room, and tried to finish my project. Mr.S gave me this CD, all covers from other bands. Like Franz Ferdinand redid a Gwen Stefani song.

Physical Science: We finished up the "fun lab." They were Ob-Scertainers by the way.

Art: Worked on my negitive space project some more. I didn't get it done. I had to take it home with me.

American History: We took lots of notes, but Evan and I didn't get moved apart by the seating chart. Yay!

Biology: Got put in groups to do an activity on Fleming. The guy who invented penicillin. Was in a group with Evan, too. Yay again!

Now I must finish my Negitive space.

168 days remain.

---So I woke up tonight and said I-i got to make some body love me. Yeah, you know, yeah, you know, yeah, you know that it's you. You're lucky, lucky, you're so lucky.

I've been doodled on.

One arm now has several smiley faces and and elbow that says "I am a Wee." My other elbow says "Wee I am." The guys did that in American History. XP

Twilight Time Between: I was charged by Evan with the sacred task of carrying the sandwhich baggy of Mike and Ikes. Yes. This set my evil plan in motion. XJ

Health: Guess what we did. You'll never guess. We did the review from last section and read the next section! Whoo HOO! YEAH!

Geometery: We took some notes and did some work.

English: We graded yesterday's homework and took some notes.

Lunch: My evil plan was slightly deflated. Evan wanted me to get out the Mike and Ikes and he ate some, sharing with the other people and stuff. Thier numbers were reduced by half. The carnage was unbareable.

Advisory: I took the first step in talking to Bumpai. I sat next to him. Well . . . sort of. I sat next to where he usually sits. He came in looked at me, looked at his seat and then sat around the corner from his usual seat. Today we were reading anyway, so I couldn't have talked to him.

Physical Science: We got our "Safety Tests" back and I passed. I only missed one. We took a lot of notes. We had to use these things--- Ob-Servers or something like that--- to do a lab thingy. They were pretty flat and solid black with a metal ball inside. You had to use the little metal ball to figure out what structure was inside. I had no clue what mine was.

Art: I'm still working on my negitive space project. All I've got to do is shade the larger areas. I'm going to have to take it home if I don't get it done tomorrow.

American History: We kept working on that worksheet thing. We got it done too, but Mr. McMealy is giving us a seating chart. XP He was working on it today and he moved Brady away from Evan and me. I looked at Evan and said "They grow up so fast. Then move away," and wiped my nose. Evan looked over at Brady and said "Be brave." Brady made this tearful face and nodded. We had some fun with that and then got bored.

Biology: We took lots of notes in this class too. We were learning about Latin names and such. It was pretty cool really. I've always wanted to study Latin anyway, and now, by taking Biology, I get to. Yay for me!

My evil plan succeded in the end, despite heavy losses. I got home with the Mike and Ikes. Muhahahahahahahaha! *twiddles nonexistant moustace*

I am DAGMAR!

Hear me roar. Grr.
My shirt declares me so. I got it airbrushed at the mall.
I still need one that says Freaktastic on it, too, but I'll settle for Dagmar.

Health: (I'm gonna start labeling these for real. I don't expect you to know my shedule, too.) We did the section reveiw and then read the next section. Lots of fun, let me tell you.
"Being healthy isn't just you physcial heath. It's your emotional and mental and spiritual and social and blah and blah and blah . . ."
I almost fell asleep on my book, but at least there was no homework. Yay!

Germetery: We took some more notes on points and planes. Wee, flat surfaces! There was homework which I got done during lunch.

English: Mr. Lawsomething had us go over the little assignment we did yesterday and gave us another one. I really like him. He told us this story today. Apparently an acutal preacher said this because Mr.Lawsomething was there when he did it. The guy was into his sermon and he says, "Sin is like an octopus. It reaches out with it's testicles and grabs you." He didn't even know he said it. Isn't that great? I'm still laughing at that story. XD

Lunch: Was boring. I got my Geometery done and started on my English.

Advisory: Was study hall. Brady had charged me with the sacred mission to talk to Bumpai (Yoyo Ma), but he didn't sit by me again and Emily wanted help with her Geometery.
Oh, well, I shall try again later.

Pysical Science: We took notes on how to write a lab report and we're going to do some sort of fun lab in the classroom tommorrow. We'll also get the results of our "Safey Test" tomorrow.

Art: I got done with the outline of the flowers and am now working on the shading. Mr.S says we should get it done by Thrusday or something like that! Jinkies! I don't know if I can do that. I'm going to have to take it home with me or something. XP

American History: We have to have partners to do this big long study guide type thing. I was partnered with Brady, but I only got to question 16 because Evan wouldn't stop bugging me. He sits behind me and he was doodling on my arms and saying "Ankh!" like he was a goose. I kept telling him that he would incur the wrath of an ancient Egyptian pharoh if he didn't shut his face, but it did no good. XP
I'm going to buy some ductape and use that instead.

Biology: We had this really long assignment, but, wonder that I am, I got it done in class. *snotty laugh* XJ

Brady and I rapped Othello going out to the bus. That was great, but it lost me my seat again.

I put a copy of that book Mr.Lawsomething did the commercial for on hold along with a copy of V for Vendetta. I told Evan he could read it. He's got me hooked on those graphic novels. XP

Mark of the Count.

I have the mark of the Count on my hand. I doodled it there. It's just his eye, but it's cool.
It goes well with the X's on my knuckles.

Over the weekend I went to my cousin Eli's, Uncle Colby's, and Granpa Ron's birthday parties. And I got a Darth Tater! It's awesome! I got an Ewok. Cheif Chirpa more specifically. He's one of those lil' action figures. And I got a big rubber two headed dragon with a mouth just the right size to eat Lego people. I got a wee Darth Tater that clips to my purse, too.

Nothing special happened in the Twilight Time between. Evan got that wicked awesome shirt from Hot Topic. The white one with the big pirate skeleton on it sort of sitting in the corner all flopped over and dead. It's cool. XD

First hour was lame. We read some stuff in the book and had to do this dumb activity. I'm glad we don't get much by way of homework in that class. That would suck if it were an aweful class and we got lots of homework.

Second hour: Was Geometery, we didn't do much. We had to do this assignment with Cartigian plains, but it was easy.

Thrid hour (which is English now) I got my book and my syllibus. Mr.Lawsomething is mean! He does these book commercials and he reads the begining of the book to you! Now I have to read that book! (Which was Speak by L.H. Anderson, but the way.)

During lunch I worked on my Geometery homework and didn't get that done. Yay.

In advisory we read. I had Universe 14, a collection of Sci-Fi stories to read. There's this one about what would happen if the circle was removed from the world by man. There were no words that contained O or places that started with O, the world was square and so was everything else that was once round.

In fifth hour I had to take the "Lab Safety Test", which was bundles of joy. I don't know if I passed it or not. We also had to do this worksheet on what to use lab instruments for and that was really difficult.

Sixth hour we were working on that negitive space thing again. I'm almost done drawing my outline then all I have to do is shade the outside. We were listening to Q102.1 which is a good station. It's got all the good songs on it. XJ

Seventh hour was American history and I got to read those dry, dry, dry letters from the Civil War again only Brady was my partner. Why we had to have partners to read some boring letter's from "Johnnie Bull" and "Young Willie" I don't know. We also read a few letter's from some guys in Iraq then had to compare and contrast the two. The Civil War letters reminded me of Dracula. It was the same verbage, I guess.

Eighth hour we had to take the same "Lab Safety Test" we took in Physical Science. How different is Physical Science from Biology anyway? Well, except you get to cut up a little froggie in Biology. XD

Went home, got caffine, and am now watching Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and blogging. I like Ewoks. CX They make me smile.
Nerd moment.

172 days remain.

Second day of shool.

First hour (which we acctually had today) was PE/Health. They split the girls and the guys and the girls have health first semester and will have PE second semester. And that's just great because that was one of the only classes I had with Evan. Mr.Fishman (the teacher looks like a fish with braces. His face is really long and thin and his ears stick out and his mouth is small and puckered. Not to mention the braces . . . Oh, Brady gets his off next week! Yay!) gave us our syllibi and our books then he told us we could sit around and talk for the rest of the hour. That was just dandy since I didn't want to talk to anyone and I'd just finished my book. XP I chatted with one of the new girls who was okay. She didn't have much to say, but she was nice enough.

Second hour, Mrs. Brusselsprout gave us those little puzzley deals that you have to make the dumb charts for. You know, Jimmy, Bob, and Carlton each ate something for lunch. Someone ate a kitten, someone at a carborator, and someone else ate yo' mamma. Who ate what?
Then they give you all these clues like:

Jimmy doesn't like kittens.

Carlton is allergic to yo' momma.

Bob hates Jimmy's guts and his cat's gut.

Carlton likes the taste of pennies.

So Bob ate the kitten (Jimmy's kitten, more specifically), Carlton ate the carborator, and Jimmy ate yo' mamma.
Wee. Fun.

Third hour Mr.McMealy read off some more of the lovely index cards we wrote him and he gave us these letters from the civil war to read. The letters were dry.

Lunch was pizza and I ate it. Brady was like "You're eating? Oh, my god!" and I said "Yes, there's icecream involved."

Advisory we finished reading through the handbook. Yipee.

Fifth hour: Mrs. Scary wasn't as scary today. She was only moderately scary today. It turns out that yelling that same thing is a tactic she uses to frighten disipline out of her students and let me tell you it worked like a charm. She told us about "lab safety" and then took us to the lab and showed us where the fire extinguishers and stuff were. There's this big yellow shower in the front of the room and it's the "Safety Shower." If you were to pull the handle on the big yellow shower head you would be drenched in five hundered gallons of water. How much you wanna bet someone's gonna pull that handle one of these days? XD I really want to, but with Mrs.H and Mrs.Scary and Mr.Parking all getting on to you, you'd hope you drown.

Sixth hour: Mr.S has us working on these negitive space drawings. You just have to draw the outline of the object and then you'll shade around it. It's going to take a lot of pencil lead. Evan left at the begining of this hour to go get his tetnus shot. Yay for him.

Seventh hour: Was supposed to be English, but I never really had English because I switched out. As I said there were way too many people in that class. Now I have English third hour and American history seventh hour. Don't get confused, now.

Eighth hour: Is another science class so Mrs.H gave us the same forms Mrs.Scary had and told us the same things Mrs.Scary did about lab safety again. She did a little dance for us about being on fire which was . . . interesting. She said, "Instead of just having your arm on fire," and she waved her arm around, "You could have your whole self on fire," and she did this little wave type thing with her arms over her head. It was interesting.

Evan came over today. I had to sweep the floors if I wanted him to come over and he showed up before I finished. I gave him the wee orange broom and he helped me sweep. Then I made him play the N64, but he didn't use the controller properly. He could hold it like you would a PS2 or whatever controller and could still use the joystick and everything because he has "big manhands." Ask him not me.
Then we watched Donnie Darko and had a disscussion about it. He didn't get it! Do I give him credit for being deeper than he really is?
What am I talking about? He's a guy.
He just left a few minutes ago. After Donnie Darko I sat in my room and talked to him while he flipped through one of my old Entertainment Weekly's. I know it's a wonderful shallow magazine, but I read the Sun to make up for it, and it's the only pop culture I get anymore. What I'm more into is ancient history or obscure cities.

I'm sleepy.

First day of High Shool.

Was . . . interesting.

In the twilight time between the commons area was so crowded, any one who came in past eight o' eight was stuck near the front. Well, Evan came in, I gave him his CDs, and he gave me a plastic Yak like Lumpy the Moose. The yak has red eyes so I named it Balthazar. It sounded like an evil Yak kinda name.
For first hour we had a class meeting and got our lunch cards and our internet agreement forms. Then we were sent off to second hour which was Geometery with the new teacher Mrs. Brusselsprout. That's what I'm calling her because I keep trying to call her Mrs. Brussel anyway. I don't think I like her. I haven't decided. There's not very many people in that class. There's a few sophmores in Geometery, but it's mostly freshman.
Third hour is American history starting with the Reconstruction period from after the Civil War. Mr.McMealy is okay. He's kind of funny and nice, but you know he's nothing compared to Mr. B, of course.
Lunch was crowded. We sat close to where we did last year and this time we were next to a group of older preps instead of younger ones. I don't really give a crap either way. XD There's this Japanese exchange student and he looks seriously nerdy! He's got the glasses and the pimples and everything! We really want to be friends with him, but we don't have any classes together.
Fourth hour was Advisory. After lunch is weird cause it's backward. I had advisory with Ms. Piggy, but I got a new shedule today because I lost mine and it said I had advisory with Mrs.H instead and that was much preferable. We had to read the handbook which was way fun.
In Fifth hour, which was Physical Science the teacher scared me. She came in as soon as the bell rang and shouted "Mr. Evanslastname, did that bell just ring?" He goes "mumlum . . ." and she screams, "Yes! And that means that this is my time and you can talk on your own time!" He sort of squeaked again and she turned back to the rest of the class.
This was really funny because it had been me that was talking to him. XD
Sixth hour was Art 1 with Mr.S. I like Art. It's good I have that I have my favorite class right after my least favorite class because that way I don't explode. Today, as an evaluation for gradeing, he gave out little cheap plastic animals and had us draw them. I got an ostritch and Evan got a giraffe. I wondered if I could draw Balthazar, but I just drew the ostritch. It wasn't my best stuff, but it was okay. Evan and I talked to Mr.S a little and that was pretty much it.
Next hour was English 1 with Mr.Lawsomething and it was okay. Mr. Lawsomething was a pretty good teacher as far as the highshool teachers go. The cool thing was, he didn't want us to give him the normal information like all the rest of the teachers (name, adress, phone number). He wanted us to tell him something about him that we gleaned from his classroom, one question we'd like to ask him, and three words that describe us. Then he wanted our favorite book (Fight Club), why you liked it ("Let me give you an example of why I liked it: 'Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken.'"), and the worst book you ever read (All About Frogs, which I read in 4th grade and only because I couldn't think of anything else).
In eight hour I have Biology 1 with Mrs.H again. She said "You all think I'm nice don't you?" We all sat and looked at her. She smiled and replied, "Well, I'm no-ot."
That was my day.
Then I wnet home and went to WallyWorld to get a book cover for the science teacher Mrs. Scary because she requires that you have one. XP

I had forgotten.

To write about Orientation. No not that kind of orientation, orientation for shool.
As you most likely know. I'm a freshman and shool starts Thursday.

It sucks.

Well, at Orientation I sat with Brady and Evan (big surprise) and sniggered as the principle of the high shool gave us a speech on being in high shool. He told us it was okay to nervous.
"I need to go to the restroom. I think I nervoused in my pants . . . "
He also finished all of his sentence with the word "'kay." That drove me crazy.
I got my planner. You know those little plastic covered booklet type things. Yeah, it's a wee lil' planner! It's only this big! It's cute! CX
I got my shedule too. I have . . .

Gym
Geometry
American History
Advisory with Ms. Piggy
Physical Science
Art 1
English 1
Biology 1

Sounds like fun. XI
I only have a couple of classes with Evan and only one class with Brady! Gah! This will be an interesting year. X(

Went to Open House, too. No, not that Open House, Open House for shool.
I had to see if I knew where my classes were and I did for most of them. I didn't know where the new geometry teacher's room was, but that was the only one I didnt' know. I didn't know I knew where some of the classes I have were. Wow. That was almost incomprehensible.

That's been pretty much it. I dug out the ol' N64 and been playing that. Zelda, Banjo-Kazooie, 007, Mario and some of the others ancient games.
